Final Paper: For this paper, analyze one of these readings: Woolf’s Mrs. Dalloway, Baldwin’s Notes of a Native Son, Rhys’s Wide Saragasso Sea, Achebe’s “Chike’s School Days,” or Kincaid’s “Girl” and compose an essay answering the following question: In this class we have discussed the importance of human connection. What are the obstacles that keep characters from connecting and how are they overcome? Your paper may focus on aspects of narrative or style, or incorporate any of the theoretical ideas discussed over the course of the semester.
