Marketing Plan and Logic Model Assignment Instructions
Overview
According to the CDC, Health marketing is defined as creating, communication and delivering health information and interventions using customer-centered and science based strategies to protect and promote the health of diverse populations. In this assignment, the learner will create a marketing plan and a simple logic model.
Instructions
Develop a short marketing plan to accompany the program you have already created.
Step 1. Review the Course Textbook Chapters concerning Marketing Plans and Logic Models.
Review your course textbook chapters concerning Marketing Plans and Logic Models. Also, review this week’s course announcement for any additional resources.
Step 2. Create a Short Marketing Plan for the health program you created in the previous weeks.
1. Include a description of how you would segment the population to whom you are marketing your intervention. On which group(s) will you focus, and why? Provide a demographic snapshot of the segmented population, if possible.
2. Describe how you will incorporate the marketing components of the following:
a. Product – What is the name of your program? What does it offer to meet the consumer’s needs? What is the benefit that consumers will value?
b. Price – What is the cost to participants? What is the total program cost, and how will that cost be covered? If a grant is to be used, name the funding source.
c. Place – Where will the consumer go to have access to the product. Name the location and community.
d. Promotion – What is the communication strategy? Is there a theme to the advertising?
e. Channels - Which methods or channels of advertising do you intend to use to reach your population.
3. Address the ethical issues that could be involved in implementing your program. How will you address HIPAA compliance for your program?
4. Lastly, create a basic 1-page logic model for implementation. This logic model will be on the last page of your assignment, after your marketing plan. The logic model should include:
a. Goals of the health program.
b. Inputs (resources)
c. Outputs (activities)
d. Outcomes: short-range, medium-range, and long-range.

Step 3. Submit.
The Marketing Plan and Logic Model must be no more than 1,000 words (4 pages), exclusive of references. Include at least 2 scholarly references. The current AMA citation style must be followed.
