This assignment is the second of two assignments leading to a paper on the learning organization. Part 1 (completed in the last unit) was an overview of the history and theory of systems applied to organizational learning. In Unit 3, you drafted a description of the way Senge's application of systems thinking to schools embodies the principles of action science, with particular emphasis on the organizational dynamics of your institution. Part 2 (to be completed in this unit) integrates the background theoretical material with specific strategies for applying organizational learning principles to the legal and ethical aspects of your institution.


For this assignment, carry out the following steps:


1) Review and revise your Unit 3 draft into an introduction to the Unit 4 integrated paper.

2) Continue the paper with an analysis of one (1) legal and one (1) ethical issue that explains how you would apply principles and strategies of organizational learning to their resolution. The issues can be separate—for instance, ADA compliance (legal) and academic integrity (ethical)—or they can be intertwined, such as legal and ethical aspects of advising practice. Use your professional experience along with the readings to compose the paper.

3) Revise the entire paper so that it is succinct yet complete, meets APA requirements, and does not use the first person pronoun (or its substitute, "the writer").

4) Refine the paper till it reflects your best possible writing.
